Everything is being given to her now. Be careful what you receive, or more responsible.
Someone could offer me a porsche and the next thing I know I drive a beetle. Porsche designed the VW beetle.

Your right. It looks like she is driving an SUV because it was given to her.

One of Johnson's biggest fans is Rich Willis of Willis Auto Campus in Clive.

Willis started talking with Shade and Johnson's parents last October about an endorsement deal. At the time, he wasn't familiar with Johnson, nor had he ever sponsored an athlete. But Willis said he was swayed by Johnson's credentials, her outgoing nature and wholesome presence. The final deal: Willis Auto Campus would provide Johnson with a $35,000 Land Rover SUV for three years, and in exchange, Johnson would appear at a dozen or so charitable events the company sponsors. He surprised Johnson with the vehicle — complete with a giant bow — three days before her 16th birthday in January.

Johnson's first event for Willis was a 90-minute Kidney Foundation reception at the dealership at which Johnson signed photographs and talked with guests.
"We had $1,200 put in the donation jar at that event," Willis said.

Johnson won't appear in television or print commercials for Willis. Instead, she will retain a fairly low profile in her relationship with the dealership, he said.

"Our goal out of this is to raise more money for charity," Willis said.

This Register article describes where the money is coming from.

Sound like she had a good agent to work with her and her parents.

...says the 20-something college graduate that (as far as I can tell) still lives with his parents.

I bet she works harder in one week than you have in your entire lifetime.

Not quite. I look 20's, work on this house for my parents who would otherwise have it how it was.
Shawn and I may work equally hard in our own areas. I seek opportunity. Life is so much different than expected, at least in my case. My situation is frustrating, yet some have comparatively nothing.

I wonder if I will ever meet her and several other people. No opportunity so far.

My guess is whoever provided the jeep pays for the fuel. I drive a sundance. Not much but better than the S-10 on fuel.

I got to see the Gymnastics Champions tour in Philly tonight, and it was a lot of fun. The music is (literally) way too Mickey Mouse -- Disney is one of the sponsors -- but the gymnastics were terrific. Shawn Johnson, Nastia Liukin and Jonathan Horton were featured, but all the men's team and several of the women's teams from Beijing are on the tour, as well as Shannon Miller, the Hamm brothers and Blaine Wilson.

The tour is coming to Des Moines in November. Ticket info can be found at http://www.gymnasticssuperstars.com/
