Default What do you think of Al Sorenson being Senator?

I heard that Al Sorenson was running for Senator again. I like him and being a supervisor for so long I think he has done a good job. Don't know how pushy he can be though to get things done on the senate.::

Being pushy has nothing to do with getting anything done in the senate. He'll be a little fish in a big pond, kinda like the coffee boy at work. He will have to kiss up and bow down to every one his senior to get even the smallest bill into committee. No matter what he tells people he will do, its not going to happen. It takes years for legislators to build enought seniority, get appointed on the big committees, and finally to be the head of the committees. Then they can get something done. In the mean time get ready for the best song and dance show of your life. Every person, every group they talk to will hear exactly what they want to hear. We're gonna do this, we're gonna do that, we'll change things.

Default A former member - seeking a rematch

He was previously a member of the legislature. According to the Boone News-Republican, he was defeated by Sen. Jerry Behn (R-Boone) who is the current incumbent. See the article here.
