Monday, Sept. 6th in Altoona: $2.42/gal
Monday, Sept. 6th in Ames: $2.52/gal

Wednesday, Sept. 8th in Ames: $2.64/gal

The Labor Day holiday is over. I wonder why the price jump.

9/24/10 at Sam's Club:
Super Unleaded: $2.53
Unleaded: $2.79

I was surprised at the price disparity between the two grades of gas.

That is a lot of disparity.
Des Moines today: $2.53
Ames (Duff) $2.62
Ames (Lincoln Way) $2.60

I wonder if the Des Moines Sam's Club is usually 10 cents less than the surrounding gas stations. 10 cents is the usual price difference, in Ames, between Sam's and the other stations.

Des Moines has usually always been 10 cents cheaper in gas over the last few years. Heck I think Slater has been that way as well.

Tighten your belts, prices are going to go even higher.

A person inside the fuel industry told that fuel will be way over $3/gal. my the middle of next month & close to $5/gal. my mid-May.
