Arrow Ames restaurants

If we were voting for best restaurant in Ames like they're doing in the Nevada forum, my vote just went to Chinese Homestyle Cooking.

I had dinner at Cafe Shi recently. Excellent!

I've never heard of Chinese Homestyle Cooking.

My kids would vote for Valentino's for sure. Man they love that place. I'd have to go with Great Plains, with King Buffet being my guilty pleasure runner-up.

"real" Texas bbq is probably made in Mexico.

I would vote for The Manderin

Top Two Most Healthy Restaurants in Ames:

1. The Cafe, Somerset Village, North Ames
2. Stomping Grounds, Welch Ave, Campustown

Both of these places order fresh produce from local growers in season and strive for menus featuring healthful combinations of excellent ingredients.
